Say hello to the team

Supporting charities is a win-win situation, making you focus positively on your own life whilst helping others

Helen Perry

Having spent many years working in marketing before taking a break from her career to raise a family, Helen Perry set up the LHCF in 2008 in response to a desire to give something back to society and help those less fortunate than herself. With her husband, Tim, she approached two old and trusted friends and asked them to join the team as Trustees. Helen is still the directional force of the charity, reviewing all requests for donations personally before getting together with the other trustees over a round of sandwiches and mooting decisions.

I was delighted to offer my support to the Lake House Foundation as Trustee. I have been in banking for over 20 years, and am now involved in the philanthropy sector within a large Private bank. I hope that i will be able to help Helen, Tim and Sarah to pursue the admirable aims of the Foundation and bring much needed resources to a range of remarkable organisations and individuals.

With a life time’s experience in property and construction, a great deal of the satisfaction that you gain is in the knowledge and experience of being able to provide secure and safe environments for people to live and work in. Thus so it was that when Helen and I set out to establish the Lake House Charitable Foundation this should be a key goal and objectives of the charities we wanted support. I am delighted to say being involved with the charity is a wholly rewarding experience but my heart and admiration goes out to all the wonderful and motivational people who are directly involved in each of the charities we support.

I was thrilled and honoured to be asked by the LHCF to be a Trustee, having known Helen for twenty years.  After many years in marketing and event management and setting up a family, it is wonderful to be able to put some of my experience to use in assisting and supporting the Foundation from its inception.  Its growth and direction over the last few years has been wonderful to see and to be a part of.
